I have always loved talking with the ladies of ABM, they are truly some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to get to know. Not surprisingly my conversations with the men of ABM have lead me to form a similar opinion. It simply goes to show that like minded people, and similarly awesome people, will naturally gravitate towards each other. Having talked to Mitchell S. Adams it’s easy to understand why the ladies of ABM would love being on set with him.

1.       If you could live the life of any character in a movie which would you choose?

Mitchell: Why don’t we go with Adam Sandler’s “Longfellow Deeds.” Not because he was stupid rich, although that is a factor, but because once he inherited his fortune, it didn’t change him as a person, he still treated everyone equally, liked having a good time, and maintained his personal dreams, such as finding that right girl and getting one of his hallmark card ideas published. Minus the blackened foot he had.
ABMFANs: Yeah that wasn’t nice, but he ends up with Winona Ryder in the end.
Mitchell: And her love for shoes.
ABMFANs: Are you a big Adam Sandler fan?
Mitchell: Absolutely.
ABMFANs: I think Wedding Singer is my favourite of his, but that may be because of the 80s.
Mitchell: Haha, I am and forever will be a huge fan of Billy Madison. I don’t care how stupid that makes me sound.
ABMFANs: No judgement from me, Billy Madison is definitely one of his best.

2.       Who were you in your first school play?

Mitchell: Are we counting kindergarten?
ABMFANs: Sure, why not?
Mitchell: I think I was a Native American in Squanto.
ABMFANs: Thanksgiving play?
Mitchell: I sure hope so.
ABMFANs: Well you never know.

3.       What one thing can you do better than anyone else you know?

Mitchell: I can do a pretty awesome “Herbert” the creepy old guy from Family Guy voice.
ABMFANs: Herbert the Pervert?
Mitchell: It’s a dubious talent though, because the character is sort of a paedophile…but the voice almost always makes people laugh. Either they laugh or immediately feel uncomfortable.
ABMFANs: I think there needs to be a YouTube video of that.
Mitchell: Maybe someday.

4.       Favourite movie trilogy.

Mitchell: The Bourne movies. Not only were they freaking awesome action films, they were very well acted and written….and let’s be honest, Matt Damon is so badass in those movies.
ABMFANs: He does kick ass in them.
Mitchell: I’ve heard he’s actually super nice, because he used to do background acting when he first started out. But despite that, I’m still slightly concerned that if I bumped into him on a bad day, he could kick my ass with a hardcover novel.
ABMFANs: It’s the nice ones you have to look out for. I remember him from being the annoying brother in that Julia Roberts movie, Mystic Pizza. He’s come a long way.
Mitchell: He sure has…I’m a fan.
ABMFANs: You have to see The Informant if you haven’t already. He’s brilliant in it.
Mitchell: I have not actually…it’s on my Netflix list.
ABMFANs: Definitely do it, and Green Zone too.
Mitchell: Also on the list.
ABMFANs: I approve of your list.

5.       How do you take your tea/coffee?

Tea with one pack of Splenda (or just honey if I’m feeling under the weather). As for coffee, I don’t actually like coffee, but I like being alert. So when I drink it, I prefer fat free milk and 2-3 Splenda or whatever other fake sugar is available.

6.       If you had to lose one of your senses which would it be?

Mitchell: Smell. I live in Manhattan…it wouldn’t be so bad without it.
ABMFANs: Yeah I’ve walked past a few drains and definitely wish I’d had a blocked nose at that point.

7.       If you had to listen to one song or read one book or watch one movie, over and over again for the rest of your life what would it be?

Mitchell: Hmm….would I literally spend every minute of the rest of my life listening, reading or watching my selection? Or would my choice be the only option available for each source of entertainment?
ABMFANs: Second one.
Mitchell: I would choose the book “Good Night Moon,” because my Mom used to read it to me when I was little, it’s awesome, and it’s super short, which appeals to the part of me that gets bored easily.
ABMFANs: Some of my favourite books are still kids’ books.
Mitchell: That said, “Where the Wild Things Are,” also on my Netflix list.
ABMFANs: I continue to approve. Warning, Rach cried her eyes out when she watched that so you may need tissues in case something gets in your eye.
Mitchell: Or both eyes.
ABMFANs: Exactly, have to be prepared.
Mitchell: I’ll be sure to watch alone just in case.
ABMFANs: Good plan.

8.       What’s your screensaver?

Don’t have one, I just close my laptop.

9.       If happiness were an animal, what would it be?

Mitchell: Probably my neighbour’s labradoodle puppy….it’s always SO happy to see literally every person, other dog, or inanimate object it sees.
ABMFANs: Aww labradoodles are cute.

10.    What do you/did you want to be when you grew up?

Mitchell: First it was a superhero, then I got slightly more realistic and changed my mind to a basketball player, then I again had a brush with reality, at which point my grown-up dream took a sabbatical until the end of college, now I can say with confidence, a successful working actor. And I draw that explanation out, because I don’t necessarily consider myself grown up yet.
ABMFANs: I try not to be grown up either; some days are more successful than others. Well you are certainly on your way to being what you want to be.

11.    What’s your favourite James Bond movie?

Mitchell: Austin Powers, The Spy Who Shagged Me…does that count?
ABMFANs: No that’s cheating, proper Bond.
Mitchell: I was never a big Bond watcher…I don’t really have a favourite…is that a copout answer?
ABMFANs: It’s okay, I like your other answers and you’re not a Brit so you didn’t grow up with it being on every holiday.

12.    What’s the best thing you’ve ever won?

Mitchell: When I was in the 8th grade, we won the basketball championship for the I.S.A.L. (Independent School Athletic League) and I remember being so genuinely elated because I won playing my favourite sport, playing alongside my best friends at the time, and we got sweet trophies.
ABMFANs: Who’s the best basketball player in the cast?
Mitchell: While we’ve never had a full cast/crew game or skills competition, it likely has to be Josh…probably because he played professionally overseas…kinda gives him a leg up on the rest of us. But I’ll take him on in a game of H.O.R.S.E. any day. But no dunking.
ABMFANs: I’ll mention it to him; he might take you up on it when filming starts again.
